Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SolidWorks Designer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly design and technical drafting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs for components, subassemblies, and full product systems, using SolidWorks. Experience in sheet metal, plastics, or composite design is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop 3D models and 2D detailed drawings using SolidWorks for assemblies and components.
Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing drawings.
Conduct tolerance analysis and fitment checks.
Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to resolve design and assembly issues.
Apply GD&T and ensure design adherence to applicable standards.
Maintain version control and drawing documentation protocols.
Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to improve manufacturability and assembly.
Support prototyping and testing by preparing exploded views and installation instructions.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3–4 years of professional experience in 3D CAD modeling and drafting with SolidWorks.
Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies, sheet metal, and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and DFM principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience in working with PDM or other version control systems is preferred.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
