Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled SolidCAM Programmer to join our Tool Room team. The candidate will be responsible for creating efficient and precise CNC programs using SolidCAM integrated with SolidWorks, optimizing machining operations for various components, dies, and fixtures. Hands-on knowledge of CNC machine operations and understanding of machining processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and simulate CNC programs using SolidCAM for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining operations.

• Interpret 2D/3D models and engineering drawings to define machining strategies.

• Optimize tool paths, feeds, speeds, and cutting conditions for efficiency and surface finish.

• Select suitable tools, fixtures, and machining processes for production and prototyping.

• Coordinate with CNC operators and machine setters during trials and production runs.

• Troubleshoot programming or machining issues and update CAM files accordingly.

• Maintain and document program files, setups, and machining parameters.

• Work closely with design, production, and quality teams for process improvements.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Technology.

• 3–6 years of experience in SolidCAM programming, preferably integrated with SolidWorks.

• Strong understanding of machining operations, cutting tools, and CNC machine parameters.

• Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines is preferred.

• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.

• Knowledge of material behavior (steel, aluminum, composites) during machining.

• Familiarity with shopfloor processes and troubleshooting techniques.
